Seminar «Manufacturing of Upper Limb Prostheses by Wilmer’s Method» was organized with the help of such companies as «No Barriers» LLC, «NMPO» LLC, «Parashar Industries». Mr. Herwin Smith (PhD) and Mr. Jan Mertens, specialists of «Delft Prosthetics BV», the Netherlands, were invited to Ukraine to demonstrate new Dutch Open Socket technology for the upper limbs prostheses. During the seminar, Dutch experts have demonstrated the Open Socket manufacturing process, which included measurements, manufacturing, alignment and control. Mr. Herwin Smith and Mr. Jan Mertens made Open Sockets as presents for two patients. Comparison of old and new prostheses was presented in conference, so people can see the obvious difference and new advanced technologies.
